1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using TabSwitch ("the App", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TabSwitch is a menu bar application for macOS that lets you search all your open tabs and windows from a Spotlight-style overlay and jump to them instantly. It can also launch installed applications. The Service includes the software, any related documentation, updates, and support services we may provide from time to time.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for personal or internal business purposes.

You may not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the App
Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, assign, distribute, publish, transfer, or otherwise make available the App to any third party
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws

4. Free of Charge

TabSwitch is provided completely free of charge. All features are available to every user — there are no purchases, subscriptions, in-app upgrades, or license keys.

5. Your Data

TabSwitch processes tab titles, window titles, and application data entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, or access this data on our servers.

6. System Permissions

To function, the App requests certain macOS permissions:

Accessibility — used to read window titles and to bring the selected window to the front.
Automation (Apple Events) — used to query and activate tabs in supported browsers and terminals such as Google Chrome, Safari, Ghostty, and Terminal.

These permissions are used solely to provide the App's features on your device and never to transmit data elsewhere.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
